Church Issues

The buildings need major repairs. There is urgent work to do alongside
replacing the boilers: about £4000 is required for this.

The church and hall roofs also need replacing at about £15000.
We will have some fun with fund raising. Watch for church notice.

METHODIST CHURCH - OUR CALLING

The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ
and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission. There are four aspects to our calling:-

WORSHIP the Church exists to increase awareness of God's presence
and to celebrate God's love
LEARNING & CARING the Church exists to help people to grow and
learn as Christians through mutual support and care
SERVICE the Church exists to be a good neighbour to people in need
and to challenge injustice
EVANGELISM the Church exists to make more followers of Jesus Christ
PRAYER The Chapel has a prayer tree in the vestibule and any requests
can be put on the tree and prayers incorporated in the Sunday services.

Please feel free to drop any prayer requests into the Chapel or ring the
minister Rev Margaret 720301 or Senior Steward Anne 720515. We also
have a short prayer meeting for the Village and Chapel on the second Mondays
in the month 7.30-8am. All are welcome and specific prayer requests can be included.
