Thank you Hurworth Primary School!

Hurworth Primary School did a wonderful job with a Fairtrade Stall in the school over
7-8 March. They collected over £1100 during the two days. A fantastic achievement.

Fairtrade is an organisation which sells produce that they ensure has been obtained at a fair price. Far too often imported products like coffee, tea and chocolate that are consumed by us, have been obtained at a 'market' price which exploits the overseas workers, including children, in ways which we would find inexcusable if it was happening on our doorstep

Do you make sure that you get the best possible price?

Sometimes it can greatly assist others less fortunate than ourselves by paying a little bit more.

Organisations like Fairtrade ensure that the extra goes back to the overseas producers.

Look out for the "Fairtrade Mark".
